Admiral Haakon Bruun-Hanssen, Chief of Defence of Norway visited NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence earlier this week.
Admiral Bruun-Hanssen highlighted the wide range of activities of the Centre while noting the growing importance of the field of cyber security. He expressed hope for a closer future relationship between the Centre and respective cyber security institutions in Norway.
The growing role of the Centre in supporting NATO and Allies in incorporating cyber security elements into NATO exercises was emphasized. Further discussion focused on the Centre’s flagship projects such as the annual Locked Shields network defence exercise and the Tallinn Manual on the International Law Applicable to Cyber Warfare.
