CyCon 2019: Full Programme Now Online

The full programme for the CyCon 2019, with speakers and workshop descriptions, is now available online. Be sure to join us in Tallinn, Estonia on 28-31 May for the 11th International Conference on Cyber Conflict, the registration is open until May 6.

Taking place in Tallinn on 28-31 May, CyCon 2019 revolves around the theme of Silent Battle. A flagship event of the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE), CyCon is the leading cyber defence conference in the region, widely credited with providing a 360-degree look on cyber, from political, military, industry and academic leaders and experts. The traditional conference format is complemented by special sessions such as the Cyber Commanders Panel, the elections security track, several pre-conference workshops, and after the great success of last year event, the CyCon Women’s Breakfast.

CyCon 2019 will host nearly 100 speakers, including opening keynotes from the Estonian President Ms Kersti Kaljulaid, NATO’s Deputy Supreme Commander Transformation Admiral Manfred Nielson, and Director of Plans and Policy of U.S. Cyber Command Rear Admiral William Wheeler. CyCon is proud to welcome Dr Jessica Barker – one of the top 20 women of influence in cyber security in the UK, NATO’s Assistant Secretary General Dr Antonio Missiroli and Vice Admiral Arnaud Coustillière, Director General for Cyber Defence in the French Ministry of Defence. The essential global, academic and industry perspectives on cyber will be provided by H.E. Mr Kentaro Sonoura, Special Adviser to the Prime Minister of Japan, Professor Alberto Sangiovanni Vincentelli of Berkeley University, Mr Tom Burt of Microsoft and Mr Luc Dandurand of Guardtime. A total of 18 expert sessions will dive into more detail in many cyber related issues, from machine learning to national strategies, from darkweb to attribution, from artificial intelligence to cyber in space,

There will be four pre-conference workshops on 28 May that require their own registration. Two simultaneous sessions take place on 28 May morning: Demystifying Blockchain and Paris Call Roundtable (max 50 persons), and two in the afternoon: State-sponsored Cyber Attacks (max 30 persons) and official launch of the International Cyber Law Interactive Toolkit. CyCon is organised by the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE), a Tallinn-based knowledge hub, research institution, and training and exercise centre. Every year, over 600 decision-makers and experts from government, military and industry from all over the world gather in Tallinn, Estonia to discuss the conference’s key theme from legal, technology and strategy perspectives in an interdisciplinary manner.
