CCDCOE hosted the NATO Science and Technology Research Task Group on 5G

On 13-15 September, CCDCOE hosted the NATO Science and Technology Research Task Group on the use of 5G for NATO Operations. 

The Plenary session gathered over 30 experts from the NATO, NATO nations, and partner nations, industry and academia. HQ SACT and Germany co-chair the RTG. The group’s focus was to combine the knowledge of researchers, industry and military members to recommend solutions that are operationally relevant and applicable to deploying interoperable capabilities. The insights of the staff from the CCDCOE also highlighted the importance of securing future 5G capabilities from the start.
