CyCon 2022 agenda and registration information

CyCon, the CCDCOE’s annual flagship is coming back as an in-person event, from 31 May to 3 June 2022 in Tallinn, Estonia. Registration for the conference will open in the week of 28 March 2022.

The 14th International Conference on Cyber Conflict will traditionally bring together representatives of the government, military, academia and industry to discuss technical, legal and policy aspects of cyber security and defence.

The conference’s central theme is Keep Moving! Understood both literally and figuratively, it invites discussions about cyber security in transportation and in supply chain, autonomous technologies and automation, but also encourages to think about ways how to coordinate our joint response to the challenges brought by new technologies and how to avoid being paralyzed by the next global crisis to come.

Participants can look forward to keynotes by Gen. Paul M. Nakasone, NATO ASG David van Weel or infosec expert Joanna Rutkowska, sessions on maritime cybersecurity or virtual environments, panels on implications of AI for international law, data protection in military operations or on value of offensive cyber operations in deterrence. Invited speakers will discuss the upcoming NATO and EU strategic documents and regional alliances beyond NATO. Industry representatives will provide their insight on current international developments and their reflexion in the cyber threat environment.

The workshop day on 31 May will offer a hands-on opportunity to hack industrial control systems or a conceptual discussion on the future of NATO cyber exercises. A rich social programme taking the participants to the most en vogue venues in Tallinn is a must.

The standard registration fee for CyCon 2022 is EUR 699, reduced fees are available for governmental participants (EUR 499) and students (EUR 345), subject to submitting a proof of eligibility. Media covering the event can register for free. Special conference rates will be available for CyCon participants at various Tallinn hotels.
