On the 7th and 8th of May 2024, the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence and the War Studies Research Centre (WSRC) of the Netherlands Defence Academy held a conference focused on the legal aspects of biometric usage by armed forces. The report of the conference is now available in the CCDCOE Library here.
The two-day conference held in Tallinn brought together around 50 practitioners and academic experts to discuss legal questions arising from the military use of biometrics. The published document is intended to serve as a brief report of the conference.

Prior to the conference, in May 2023, the CCDCOE and WSRC held a workshop in Amsterdam on the Law Applicable to the Use of Biometrics by Armed Forces, bringing together practitioners and academic experts.
