Thomas Svensson is a renowned information security professional, he works in the Telia Company Sweden as the Deputy Head of National Security and has more than 40 years of experience in the field of security. For many years, Thomas has been a key contributor to the CCDCOE organized cyber defence exercise Locked Shields.
Thomas has served for 32 years in the Swedish Armed Forces as a technical officer focusing on telco & radio communication, IT and information security, COMSEC and development of cyber defence exercises. Prior to joining the Swedish leading telco Telia, he was for 10 years the CSO at atsec information security AB in Sweden. Thomas has been an active member of various NATO working groups on interoperability as well as the Secretary and the Chairman for TACOMS and US/EURO WGs.
For decades, Thomas has actively contributed to the planning and execution of cyber security exercises both on national and international level. Thomas is the deputy White Team leader for international live-fire cyber defence exercise Locked Shields. He is also a co-author of the handbook for planning, running and evaluating information technology and cyber security exercises published by the Swedish National Defence University.
